SFI MediaFutures is a world-class research centre based in Bergen’s Media City, dedicated to developing responsible AI-driven media technology for ethical and effective user engagement, content production, and audience understanding, in collaboration with leading national and international media and research partners.

I am an associate professor II, being part of WP2. I co-supervise PhD students Ayoub and Jeng, and am involved in projects related to news recommender systems and healthy eating.

Faktisk.no joined WP3 as an industry partner in August last year. I’ve been part of that work package since then, and also taken a seat on the Steering Board.

I’ve been working with NRK to develop their front page categorisation scheme. I’ve worked a lot with content analyses of media content in the past, so I have some experience in categorising news – so whether we are looking at a crime story or a political story, social issues or sports.
