Loek Vredenberg has a long and extensive career in the IT industry where
he has acquired deep technical and leadership experiences on a variety of
projects in different industries. Since the start of his professional
career in 1985 in IBM The Netherlands, Loek has held many different
technical positions from programmer/analyst and deep technical roles to
enterprise architect, lead architect on large solution implementation
programs and technical advisor to CxO level executives with clients. The
last 5 years Loek has been the CTO of IBM Norge and worked with IBMs
technologies across the different business units.
Loek combines business, process and technical skills with a passion for a
holistic and integrated view of business and IT. Loek has in recent years
focused his attention to artificial intelligence and IBMs cognitive
technologies that go by the name of Watson as well as the hybrid cloud
based delivery platform. Loek is working in the area of hybrid cloud
industry platforms as the delivery vehicle for digital transformation.
Loek contributes to public debate around AI and gives lectures and key
notes on this topic in many different settings.
