The Industry Stakeholder Workshop brings together representatives from MediaFutures’ industry partners, work package leaders and senior researchers for an afternoon dedicated to dialogue, collaboration and the next steps for the centre.

The workshop creates a space for closer exchange between research and industry: sharing perspectives on how AI is currently being used and explored in newsrooms, identifying ideas and opportunities for new collaborative projects, and discussing how the knowledge, partnerships and activities developed through MediaFutures can be carried forward beyond the current SFI period.

13:30–15:00 | AI in the Newsroom Now
Short talks from industry and research, sharing current work, experiences and perspectives.

15:00–16:00 | From Ideas to Innovation
Group discussions focused on new ideas and opportunities for collaborative projects.

16:00–17:00 | Beyond 2028
A joint discussion on the next chapter for MediaFutures and how the centre’s collaboration and activities can develop beyond 2028.

The workshop is an internal MediaFutures event, with 2–3 representatives from each partner organisation participating alongside researchers and work package leaders from across the centre.
