SUMMARY:Call for literature reviews: Nordicom Reviews special issue
DESCRIPTION:Nordicom is inviting authors to submit extended abstracts for a special issue of Nordicom Review focusing on the relationship between media\, communication\, journalism\, and democracy within the Nordic region. The call emphasizes literature reviews examining how these elements interplay and influence democratic processes. The submission deadline for abstracts is February 9\, 2024. Selected authors will be invited to submit full manuscripts (6\,000–8\,000 words) after the abstract assessment. The special issue aims to offer a comprehensive overview of research developments relevant to contemporary democracy in the Nordic context. Submissions should explore topics related to media’s impact on voting behavior\, communication practices in times of crises\, journalism’s role\, technological influences\, and more. The goal is to consolidate knowledge\, promote discussion\, and contribute to evidence-based policy formation.
